On medical malpractice
Okay, here is the deal.
The four major insurance companies in the US report profits that put them in the top 20 of the fortune 500. Doctors live in the best parts of town, drive beautiful cars, and have tons of money (at least all the ones I know do!). People in America who can't afford insurance or who can only afford limited coverage, and minority patients receive much poorer medical care than those who can afford premium insurance or can just pay their health care bills. So, yea, it seems like the ones who are profiting the least, should be the ones to give up something in the old insurance, doctor, litigate triangle. Yea, that does make since at least in hell or republican controlled congresses.

I agree with you. When I read this book called Amazing Grace by Jonathan Kozol, the author spoke with people living in the New York's ghetto and the healthcare that they received was pitiful and eye opening. When they did seek out medical care in the good parts of New York they were often rejected or put on a floor with other minority patients. So the whole healthcare things is ridiculous and Dang! I totally agree with you.
Keep up the great blogging for other socially conscious people out there!
